A section of Quetico Provincial Park has been closed to the public.

It is to allow for a search of a missing canoeist from Indianapolis.

OPP say the 25-year-old man was with six others when their canoe capsized at Saganagons Lake.

The other five were located.

The lake is situated at the southeast edge of the park near the Ontario-Minnesota border.

The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit and Emergency Response Team, with personnel from the Ministry of Natural Resources, are assisting with the ground and water search.

Public access to the area is restricted until further notice as the search takes place.
