$42 million of infrastructure work to begin in Thunder Bay

By Chloe Hannan Jun 7, 2024 | 8:00 AM

The City of Thunder Bay is investing $42 million into infrastructure work.

This work includes road rehabilitation, sidewalk replacement, sewer and watermain repairs, and bridge and culvert renewal.

Multiple projects have already begun and are expected to continue throughout the year.

Wasco Drive, the Mountdale Boat Launch parking lot, Authur Street sidewalks, and the North core streetscape renewal are currently underway.

Most construction zones will result in road closures and detours. Residents are reminded to reduce their speed when passing through.

The city has released the dates of all projects in efforts to minimize disruption.
