Police seeking help identifying suspect in Dartmouth shooting

Halifax Regional Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect from a shooting that took place Monday morning in Dartmouth

Police were alerted to the shooting on Colford Avenue shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival to the scene they they found a man who had been shot.

He was taken to the hospital by EHS for treatment after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the suspect fired multiple shots at the victim, who was waiting at a Halifax Transit bus terminal.

The suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle which they believe was heading towards the the MacKay Bridge after the shooting.

Police released photos of the suspect Friday afternoon in an appeal to the public for any potential leads on their identity.

In the photos, the suspect wears a black motorcycle jacket over a grey hoodie, dark jeans, sneakers and a black helmet. The motorcycle he is photoed riding is described as a blue and grey sport-style motorcycle.
