“Work from Thunder Bay” is a campaign targeting remote workers to consider moving to Thunder Bay.

Their slogan, “If you can work from anywhere, you can work from here.”

The Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) initially launched this campaign during the pandemic but is bringing it to light again.

It’s in response to the Royal LePage report released last week, stating that Thunder Bay is Canada’s most affordable city.

The CEO of CEDC, Jamie Taylor, says the report is great news for Thunder Bay.

“We saw this as a great opportunity to shed some attention on Thunder Bay,” said Taylor.

Thunder Bay offers affordable housing, and urban convenience with proximity to nature. The campaign points out the city’s appeal as a desired place for remote workers.

“We all live here for a reason,” said Taylor. “It’s because we love what the city has to offer.”

Taylor adds they are targeting employees in major cities across Canada. Prospective residents can explore opportunities and resources available in Thunder Bay on the campaign’s webpage.
