Saint John police make 3 impaired driving arrests

Saint John police say their officers made three impaired driving arrests over the weekend.

Officers responded to a report of a collision on Charlotte Street West just before 11 p.m. Friday.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested for impaired driving and had her vehicle impounded.

She was later released from custody and will appear in court on a later date.

Just before 7 a.m. Saturday, police received calls about a vehicle driving on its rims in the Westmorland Road area.

Officers located the vehicle and arrested a 62-year-old man for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

He was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample and was released from custody with a future court date.

On Sunday evening, at around 7:40 p.m., police responded to a report of an impaired driving along Loch Lomond Road.

The vehicle was located on St. Martins Road as multiple officers responded to the area.

Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the 33-year-old man for impaired driving.

He was later released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
