Nominations accepted for Order of Moncton

By Regis Phillips Jun 3, 2024 | 4:56 AM

You have until Sept. 20 to submit nominations for this year’s Order of Moncton.

Established in 2010, it’s the municipality’s most prestigious and highest-ranking honour.

It is awarded to residents for their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to Moncton’s social, cultural, or economic community.

City officials said nominees must be past or present long-term residents of Moncton who have brought honour to the Hub City on a national or global scale.

Elected representatives currently serving on Moncton council or in the provincial legislature, the House of Commons, or the Senate are not eligible for nomination. Neither are judges of any level of court.

Recipients will be chosen by a selection committee made up of council members, citizens, and a staff advisory group.

Online nominations are available on the city’s website. The printable application form is available by emailing mayor@moncton.ca.
