National Range Day is June 1st.

It’s in recognition of the 2.3 million licensed gun owners who responsibly, legally, and safely own and use firearms in Canada.

The Cape Nova Rifle and Revolver Club is hosting an open firearms range day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Queensville Range at highway marker 13 on Highway 105.

They’ll have events and demonstrations including a chance for women and youth to try target shooting in a safe, controlled setting.

Each participant will be paired with an experienced person.

10 a.m.– Range safety and orientation
11 a.m. – 22 handgun
1 p.m. – 22 rifle

Do not take any firearms to Saturday’s event – all required materials will be there for you to use.
