The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is currently monitoring three separate outbreaks.

Chartwell Glacier Ridge Retirement Residence is dealing with a facility-wide Gastrointestinal outbreak while Nipigon District Memorial Hospital is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak in it’s Long Term Care Area.

St. Joseph’s Hospital’s 2 North – Medically Complex Services Area is dealing with an Influenza A outbreak, but a COVID-19 outbreak in that area has also been declared over.

Outbreaks are declared when symptoms increase amongst the residents.
