Police in Thunder Bay have received two reports involving scammers.

The first report was a from a local resident who stated that they received a mailed letter from an alleged law firm.

The letter stated that their personal information was leaked into the dark web, and that the law firm contacted law enforcement.

Another resident reported a suspicious email that said warned them of a recurring charge. They requested personal details in order to stop the charge.

Police warn locals to be careful of scammers and report any suspected incident to their detachment.
