Hockey fans will descend on the town of Quispamsis this coming November.

This year’s Women’s Under-18 National Hockey Championship is taking place at the qplex from Nov. 3 to 9.

“We are thrilled to welcome the future stars of women’s hockey to Quispamsis,” said Mayor Libby O’Hara.

“We continue to show that we are not only capable of hosting national and international events but excel at presenting them. This is another feather in our cap as an attractive community for sports tourism.”

One team representing the four Atlantic provinces will compete against Ontario Red, Ontario Blue, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.

This is the first time the Women’s Under-18 National Championship is being hosted in Atlantic Canada. It also marks the fifth Hockey Canada event for Quispamsis in the last eight years:

Schedule and ticket information will be released at a later date.
