A 47-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter after a homicide in Dartmouth.

Halifax Police say it was the morning of March 25th when they responded to reports of a disturbance at an apartment on Pinecrest Drive.

On scene, they found the victim dead, 56-year-old Ronald Edward Howell, and arrested the suspect who was released later that day, without charges.

The two knew each other.

Police say, according to an autopsy report, the death has been ruled a homicide.

The suspect will appear in court, Wednesday.
