A special tribute for firefighters and first responders in Shelburne.

Students from Shelburne High School will unveil a special art display Saturday at noon at the Atlantic House Park.

Organizer Pam Mingo says it will be a permanent display of hearts, marking the one year anniversary of the Barrington Lake wildfire.

“Each firefighting team will be represented by a large, red heart with the name of the team on them. There will also be a large heart for all the volunteers that helped out,” said Mingo.

Mingo says many dignitaries will be on hand, as they honour over 60 fire departments.

She thanks the students and teacher Les Goulden, who began working on this in February.

She also thanks the town and municipality, and community businesses for their donations.
