Traffic stop leads to list of charges

A traffic stop in Fort Frances has resulted in several charges against a resident of Emo.

OPP say they stopped the vehicle in Fort Frances initially to check on its insurance status.

This led to police finding an unspecified amount of methamphetamine.

The 42-year-old driver was arrested.

They were also charged with;

· Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance

· Drive Vehicle or Boat with Cannabis in Open Original Packaging

· Fail to Apply for Permit on Becoming an Owner

· Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle

· Drive Motor Vehicle No Currently Validated Permit

· Fail To Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle

· Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor
