The Intercity Shopping Centre has announced that it is part of its parent company’s partnership with Kids Help Phone.

The partnership is launching the Check-In initiative to raise awareness for youth mental health issues.

The initiative encourages residents to check in with one another while emphasizing the significance of self-care in maintaining personal well-being.

For the rest of the year, the initiative will host a variety of activities online and at ISC, to support and enhance community well-being.

This comes as ISC’s parent company Morguard Corporation formed a large partnership with Kids Help Phone.

Morguard’s participating shopping centres across Canada currently feature interactive cellphone displays at their entrances. Visitors can scan QR codes on the display to receive encouraging and uplifting messages. Morguard is donating two dollars per scan to Kids Help Phone up to a maximum contribution of $50,000.
