Sorting Gap Marina opens for the season

By Randy Thoms May 17, 2024 | 4:17 PM

The town of Fort Frances is reopening its Sorting Gap Marina today.

It will be operated by town staff for another season.

There are higher costs to launch a boat this year.

Town council approved an increase in March to a $10 per day charge and $75 for the year in March to generate additional revenue.

While the Marina is open for ice cream and to launch a boat, gas service is not unavailable just yet.

An announcement on that service is expected shortly.
