Man arrested for sexual assault, fraud: police

By Brad Perry May 17, 2024 | 5:45 PM

A 46-year-old man has been arrested for sexual assault and fraud after a lengthy investigation in Saint John.

Police said they received a complaint in May 2023 about someone offering private “rape defense classes” as a Code White Krav Maga instructor.

“Given the circumstances surrounding this training, the individual became suspicious that there was some type of fraud taking place,” police said in a news release on Friday.

Investigators received a second complaint a short time later about the accused, claiming that they felt they were sexually assaulted during the training.

Officers executed a search warrant on the residence and vehicles of the accused on Thursday.

He was arrested for two counts of sexual assault, seven counts of fraud, and four counts of uttering forged documents.

The accused was later released and is scheduled to appear in court in January.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 506-648-3333.
