13 N.B. businesses on Deloitte best managed list

By Tara Clow May 17, 2024 | 12:18 PM

Deloitte recognized 496 Canadian best-managed companies for 2024, and 13 of them are from New Brunswick.

Canadian headquartered companies with revenues over $50 million are rated in the awards program that has been around since 1993.

“Their relentless ambition, determined focus, and strategic agility have led them to remain competitive on the world stage, creating sustainable economic growth in an evolving global market. They should be extremely proud of this designation and use it as a catalyst to continue the outstanding work they do every day,” says Lorrie King, national co-leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and partner with Deloitte Private.

Companies apply annually and go through an assessment led by a multi-disciplinary judging panel. They are evaluated on their leadership in the areas of strategy, capability and innovation, culture and commitment, as well as governance and financial performance.

There were 27 new winners in total.  The newest New Brunswick winner is Green Diamond Equipment.

The majority of the 496 companies recognized are based in Ontario (196) and Quebec (104), followed by Alberta (69), British Columbia (42), Manitoba (26), and Nova Scotia (24), with the remaining in Saskatchewan (15), New Brunswick (13), and Newfoundland and Labrador (7).

New Brunswick businesses that have been recognized under the Gold and Platinum levels are as follows:

Day and Ross
Imperial Manufacturing
Lorneville
Cooke Aquaculture
Eddy Group Limited
Source Atlantic
Champlain Seafood
Acadian Construction
ALC Group of Companies
