Town of Salisbury mounts cameras as part of pilot project

By Tara Clow May 14, 2024 | 6:04 AM

The Town of Salisbury has signed on to a pilot project tracking areas including traffic and weather.

It’s a part of the NB Power Smart Cities pilot program.

Two cameras have been mounted on NB Power street light poles.

The cost per camera is $150 per month.

They are located in high-traffic areas and are used in consultation with the RCMP for post-incident purposes.

At the end of the six-month project, the Town will evaluate whether or not the cameras were useful and decide whether or not to renew the agreement with NB Power.
