Thunder Bay has announced an open call for performers to participate in a Canada Day performance down at the waterfront.

This year the city is running a new collaborative project that encourages artists and performers to collaborate to develop a performance.

The Project aims to showcase the community’s talent and culture while encouraging artists and performers to exchange ideas to develop a unique and engaging performance.

“We are looking forward to this year’s Canada Day on the Waterfront event at Marina Park. We want to celebrate our community and believe this project will showcase the incredible, diverse talent we have here in our city,” said Thunder Bay’s Supervisor of Cultural Development, Community Programming & Events, Louisa Costanzo.

The open call is open to artists and performers and is available on the city’s Recreation & Culture Events page until May 29, 2024.

Canada Day on the Waterfront is taking place at Marina Park on July 1, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
