By News May 12, 2024 | 9:23 PM

Four teens up on second-degree murder charges will appear in youth court Monday in Halifax.

The charges stem from a fatal stabbing outside the Halifax Shopping Centre involving 16-year-old Ahmad Al Marrach.

Al Marrach died from his injuries on April 22 and was a student at Citadel High School in Halifax.

The four teens arrested in connection with his death range in age from 14 to 16 years old and include two boys and two girls.

Crown lawyers are seeking adult sentences if the suspects are convicted.

The identities of all the accused are banned from publication due to their ages.
