Kentville man seriously injured after collision with dump truck

A 54-year-old man suffered serious injuries after a car crash Friday morning.

Nova Scotia RCMP responded to a collision on Prospect Road in Cambridge at about 11 a.m., according to a news release.

The driver of the Volkswagen, from Kentville, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital via helicopter.

The driver of the dump truck, a 63-year-old man from Coldbrook, was uninjured.

Prospect Road was closed for several hours but since reopened.

The investigation continues.
