Restore Days are back at the Thunder Bay Solid Waste and Recycling Facility.

The event running from Thursday through Saturday allows residents who are heading to the landfill to donate gently used building materials, appliances, cabinets, furniture, tools, plumbing and electrical materials.

Habitat for Humanity will be present with a drop-off area for the goods between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. They will be near the public drop-off bins just past the weigh scales.

This initiative prevents the unnecessary disposal of reusable items in the landfill.

Residents who don’t plan on stopping by can still donate their used items directly to Habitat for Humanity at their ReStore at 660 Squier St.
