A 36-year-old Westphal man is dead after a shooting in North Preston.
RCMP say it was Wednesday night when they received a report of a man who had been shot on Downey Rd near the 1100 block.
When they arrived on scene, they found the man with gunshot wounds; he was then taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
RCMP say according to evidence they do not believe the shooting was random.
The death is being investigated as a homicide.
