20-year-old Waycobah woman facing charges after crashing car into RCMP building

A 20-year-old woman from Waycobah is facing a list of charges after crashing her vehicle into the Waycobah RCMP detachment.

RCMP say it was around 2:45 a.m. Thursday morning when they received a report of an impaired driver speeding on Highway 105.

The vehicle was stolen, and they say the driver was headed straight toward the RCMP building.

Officers tried to stop the car but couldn’t.

It sped across the lawn and crashed into the building itself causing damage inside and out but remains open.

The woman was arrested and is facing these charges:

  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Mischief (two counts)
  • Impaired Operation of a Conveyance
  • Refusal of a Demand

The investigation continues.
