A 31-year-old is facing a list of charges after a collision in Bedford this morning.

Police say it was around 6:30 a.m. when they received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly on Hammonds Plains Road.

It had also been reported stolen.

The driver crashed into a marked police cruiser in the opposite lane, before being taken into custody.

The road was closed for a while and traffic was detoured.

There were no injuries.

The suspect will appear in court Thursday to face these charges:

· Assaulting a peace officer with a weapon
· Dangerous operation of a conveyance
· Motor vehicle theft
· Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
· Failure to comply with conditions of a court order (x4)
