Police say a man has been taken into custody following a “weapons-related incident” at a Halifax hotel.
Halifax Regional Police responded to the Halifax Tower Hotel on Lakelands Boulevard on Sunday morning.
Those staying at the hotel were asked to shelter in place while others were told to avoid the area.
No injuries have been reported and police remain on the scene as the investigation continues.
UPDATE: In relation to this incident, one man has been taken into custody and there were no reported injuries.

Roads are now open to traffic and access to the Halifax Tower Hotel has resumed.
