A Halifax Moosehead has been named the QMJHL’s most valuable player.

Mathieu Cataford had 40 goals and 90 points in 65 games this season.

The Vegas Golden Knights prospect finished third in the league in scoring.

The 19-year-old is the second consecutive Moosehead to be named MVP, after Jordan Dumais won last year.
