Impaired driving charges have been laid in connection with a motor vehicle collision near Atikokan.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon on Highway 11, about 35 kilometres east of the community.

OPP says it was during their investigation that identified the driver having consumed alcoholic beverages.

A 25-year-old from Thunder Bay was arrested.

They have since been released and will be in court in June to answer to the charges.
