RCMP charge driver for 248 km/h stunting

Halifax RCMP stopped a driver that was going more than 100 km/h over the limit Sunday night.

The 21-year-old Bedford man was going 248 km/h in a 110 km/h zone, according to an RCMP news release.

He faces stunting charges and his BMW i8 car was towed, police say.

In Nova Scotia, stunting carries:

    • a fine of $2,422.50
    • six license demerit points
    • immediate seven-day driver’s license suspension
