Items taken from vehicles in west Saint John

Saint John police are investigating after several vehicles were damaged and had items stolen from them.

The incidents happened around the Sand Cove Road area on the west side at around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators are offering some tips to help protect yourself and your property:

  • Ensure your car windows are rolled up and the vehicle is securely locked.
  • Do not leave valuable objects or packages in plain sight. Store them in your trunk.
  • Choose well-lit areas for parking to deter potential thieves.
  • Never leave your keys in your car.
  • Do not leave your vehicle running when unattended.
  • Immediately report any unusual or suspicious activity in your neighbourhood.
