About 40 businesses and organizations are on display at the Fort Frances Curling Club this weekend.

The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce Business and Community Expo gets underway later this afternoon and continues tomorrow.

Several booths will have giveaways and activities.

Chamber Director Heather Johnson says there are also some fundraising activities taking place.

“Rockin’ for a Reason is back again. And this year, we have Leons and Greens that are doing a little bit of a contest to see who can raise the most money,” says Johnson.

“Homlund Financial is putting on a passport game. They give you a map when you come in, and you can go around to all the businesses, collect signatures, and then take it back to Homlund’s and get entered for more prizes.”

The Voyageur Lion’s Club will stage its Jail or Bail on Saturday.

The club is raising money for Best for Kitty.

There is also something for the children.

“We have Fun-tastic Castles that not only have the bouncy castles, but they’re also going to do a family movie both Friday and Saturday night.”

Friday night’s showing will be the action-comedy Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds.

Super Mario will be on the big screen Saturday night.

Both showings begin at 9 p.m.

The Expo opens Friday at 4 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.

It opens again on Saturday at 10 a.m. and continues until 4 p.m.

“No cost to get in. If you’d like to bring a non-perishable food donation, we’d be happy to take that and pass it on to the food bank.”

The Chamber is also giving away four Airtags and keychain holders.

Airtags are tracking devices that can help locate misplaced personal items.
