A loss for the Southwest Storm to open the Maritime Junior C hockey championship.
They fell 7-0 to the host Sunny Corner Thunder from Miramichi.
The Storm are back at it Thursday afternoon at 4:30 against Tri-County, New Brunswick.
In other news, the Storm were awarded the 2025 Maritime Junior C championship.
It will be held next year at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington.
