Good news if you are planning a trip to Grand Manan Island this year.

The province says the cost of taking the ferry will remain unchanged.

It currently costs $39.50 to take an automobile on the ferry.

There is also an additional charge of $13 per adult and $6.50 per child aged five to 12. Children under five board for free.

Ticket rates are halved for those who live on the island.

New Brunswick helps to subsidize the ferry service, which is operated by Coastal Transport.
