TryLight presents Queen Milli of Galt

By Tim Davidson Apr 25, 2024 | 2:54 PM

A couple of more opportunities to catch the latest production of TryLight Theatre.

Queen Millie of Galt runs until Saturday night.

Johnny Grek plays Edward, Prince of Wales, who falls in love with a Canadian woman.

He says this is his first time on the TryLight stage.

“It’s been 20 plus years since I’ve done any theatre, but what an amazing family at TryLight,” says Grek.

“I’m really looking forward to more productions in the future.”

Lisa Habermehl plays the lead role, and this is a true story based in her home town of Galt.

“Having read the play, as you go through the audition process, you realize there is some great comedy here and some great character development.  I was thrilled to be cast in the part by the director and the stage manager.”

The show starts at 8:00 tonight, Friday night and Saturday night in the basement of First Baptist Church.

Tickets are still available online at trylight.ca or at the door.
