The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is currently dealing with two respiratory outbreaks.

The first is a COVID-19 outbreak located at Pioneer Ridge in Home Area 2.

Bethammi Nursing Home is dealing with an unidentified respiratory outbreak on its third floor.

Multiple outbreaks in the district have recently been declared over, including Influenza A outbreaks at St. Joseph’s Hospital and The Walford Retirement Home, and COVID-19 outbreaks at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Hogarth Riverview Manor.

An outbreak is declared when respiratory or gastrointestinal symptoms increase among the residents.
