A man has been charged after a weapons-related incident in the Fairview area.
Halifax Regional Police say early Sunday morning, officers were called to an Evans Avenue apartment where they found a man inside with a hatchet.
Police deployed a sensory irritant when he first refused to leave.
He then came out of the apartment and police arrested him, seizing a hatchet and a replica firearm.
A 36-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
