The inductees for this year’s Cape Breton Music Industry Hall of Fame have been selected.

In a release, the Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative says, “These individuals have
had a profound impact on the development of Cape Breton music, as well as its recognition
around the world.”

The CBMIC will officially announce the inductees and details of the 2024 Hall of Fame Gala Show date Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Gaelic College in St. Anns.

At the inaugural event last year, the CBMIC inducted Rita MacNeil, Matt Minglewood, the Men of the Deeps and Buddy MacDonald’s song, “Getting Dark Again.”

Proceeds from the gala support CBMIC’s mission to invest in music access and education, professional music development, and the promotion and preservation of Cape Breton’s unique musical culture.
