A suspicious fire in Clare is under investigation.

It happened at a commercial building in Saulnierville around 3 a.m. Friday.

When Meteghan RCMP and firefighters arrived, the building was fully engulfed in flames.

No one was inside.

Police believe it’s related to a series of criminal acts in the Meteghan area over the last several weeks.

Meteghan detachment Commander Sgt. Jeff LeBlanc says they’re implementing safety and operational planning in the area.

He says they believe the incidents are targeting specific people, but it affects the whole community.

RCMP are looking for people to come forward with information.
