Be prepared for delays on the MacKay Bridge if you are heading to Halifax.

Halifax Harbour Bridges (HHB) says due to an emergency maintenance issue, they have to close one of the lanes from Dartmouth to Halifax.

It will remain closed for the next 15 hours.

Steven Proctor from HHB says, it is due to a crack found in the steel support system of the deck.

There is no risk at this time he says, but they want to inspect the steel to see if they need to mitigate the issue.

They expect the lane to reopen by 5:30 a.m., Thursday.
