Hillary Grant who currently works for the town as its’ Director of Community Development, will takeover the CAO role on an interim basis starting May 11.

“I am thrilled to be stepping into the Interim Chief Administrative Officer role for the Town of Lunenburg,” said Grant. “I and the rest of the Town’s dedicated staff are committed to ensuring continuity and effectiveness during this transition,”.

Mayor Jamie Myra also issued a statement regarding the appointment, indicating Grant has all the needed experience to thrive in her new role. “Hilary has shown tremendous growth since joining the team, Council has complete confidence in her ability with the team to navigate our end of term and the onboarding of a new Council,” Myra wrote.

The announcement indicated that Grant is expected to serve as CAO until the end of 2024 or until a new Council appoints a permanent CAO after the October election.
