Renovations are set to resume at the QEII emergency department.
Nova Scotia Health says construction workers will be around on Monday and work is expected to take about eight weeks.
Most of the work is to move a steam pipe in the ceiling to prepare for construction on the acute patient care tower, the health authority tells the Acadia Broadcasting news room.
That’s part of the larger QEII Infirmary Expansion Project.
Nova Scotia Health says the construction won’t interrupt any of the emergency room services.
The health authority also says they want to minimize the impact of construction on patients, so there will be more resources to help patients and staff.
