The temporary emergency department closure at Guysborough Memorial Hospital is extended until Friday evening.
Nova Scotia Heath previously announced the department would reopen on the morning of April 12th, but now says it will remain closed until 7:00 p.m.
The health authority advises anyone with urgent medical needs to call 911.
