A section of the multi-use trail on the west side of Boulevard Lake will be closed on Wednesday.

The trail between Lyon Boulevard and Toledo Street will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for tree and brush-clearing maintenance.

The work will not affect the five-kilometre loop around the Lake but will temporarily close one of its connector trails.

The trail is being closed to maximize the efficiency and speed of the maintenance. This section of trail is surrounded by forestry making it harder for residents to navigate around the work being done leading to the temporary closure.

The City’s Parks & Open Spaces department is encouraging residents to use the Arundel Street multi-use trail as an alternative route during the closure.
