Port Hastings man arrested for attempted murder after Auld’s Cove shooting

A 24-year-old man has been arrested for a shooting in Auld’s Cove.

RCMP say the suspect, from Port Hastings, is facing several charges including attempted murder.

A 37-year-old man from Askilton was found outside a home on Highway 4, Wednesday, with a gunshot wound.

H was injured and taken to hospital.

The suspect is in custody and will appear in court, Monday facing these charges:

  • Attempt to Commit Murder;
  • Aggravated Assault;
  • Careless Use of Firearm;
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose;
  • Pointing a Firearm;
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm;
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
