A man is facing charges after trying to assault police officers with a knife in Dartmouth.
Police say it was Tuesday evening on Roleika Drive when they responded to a property damage call.
A 33-year-old man had caused some damage and had minor injuries.
As officers were leaving, the man tried to assault them.
There was a brief struggle, and he was taken into custody.
The officers were not injured.
The man will be in court Wednesday, facing these charges:
· Mischief
· Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
· Assault with a weapon
· Resisting arrest
· Assault a peace officer with a weapon (x3)
