A fire was quickly extinguished on Parade Street in Yarmouth.

It happened Saturday just after 8 p.m.

Yarmouth fire chief Mike Deveau says they were called to a structure fire.

He notes the fire was near the basement entry of the home.

Deveau says no one was injured, and the fire is still under investigation.

RCMP were also on scene and closed the road for about an hour.

There was a heavy police presence at the same residence on Thursday.

RCMP say a search warrant was executed, but they couldn’t provide more details.
