Easter: What’s open and closed in N.B.

By Brad Perry Mar 28, 2024 | 6:00 PM

The Easter long weekend is upon us, which means many workers will have some time off over the coming days.

Grocery stores, big-box stores, and malls will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.

NB Liquor corporate stores will be closed on both Friday and Sunday and have reduced hours on Monday.

Federal, provincial, and municipal government offices will be closed from Friday and Monday. Service New Brunswick locations normally open on Saturday will not be this weekend.

All public library locations throughout New Brunswick will be closed on Friday, Sunday, and Monday.

Canada Post offices are also closed on Friday and Monday, which means no mail delivery on those days. Post offices operated by the private sector may have different hours.

Codiac Transpo will not be operating on Friday or Sunday but will have regular service for the rest of the long weekend.

If you are unsure if something is open or operating this weekend, it is best to call ahead.
