Changes to HRM services for Easter weekend

Make sure you take your garbage to the curb Saturday, if you’re collection day is Monday.

The city says the service has been changed due to the Easter weekend and back to normal by April 1.

The Otter Lake Waste Management Facility and Materials Recovery Facility will be closed on Friday, March 29 but open Saturday.

The Household Special Waste Depot in Bayers Lake will be closed on Saturday, March 30 but open Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Transit

Buses will be running on a holiday schedule Friday, but back to a normal weekend schedule Saturday and Sunday.

If you take the ferry, there is no service Friday.

Alderney ferry service will operate on its regular weekend schedule on Saturday and provide holiday service on Sunday.

Woodside ferry service does not operate on weekends or holidays.

Buses and ferries will operate on regular schedules on Monday, April 1.

Rec Centres

Most recreation facilities will be closed Friday, Sunday and Monday, except for the Sackville Sports Stadium.

311

The city says 311 will also be closed Friday and Sunday, except for urgent calls.

The Customer Contact Centre will be open Saturday and operate like normal Monday.

Parking

Street paid parking is free Friday and Monday.
