Motorists pay more, as N.B. gas prices climb

A big jump for fuel prices this week.

This comes with the weekly adjustment by the Energy and Utilities Board.

The maximum cost for regular self-serve is up 9.3 cents a litre to almost $1.74.

Diesel also increased by 4 cents.

Furnace oil is up 3.4 cents.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.70 to $1.74 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.90 and $1.94 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.70 per litre, diesel costs around $1.91 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of nearly $1.41 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
