Residents in the city’s south side are being reminded to remain mindful by city police following the theft of mail in the area of Simpson and McKenzie Street.

City police received multiple reports on Monday of a group approaching homes and stealing mail. The individuals appeared to be delivering flyers as a cover for approaching homes and opening mailboxes.

Police arrested one person involved and that person remains in custody.

Anyone with home or dash camera footage from the Simpson and McKenzie Street area on Monday morning is asked to contact city police.
